Park Leisure bosses in £20k charity ride

HOLIDAY park business Park Leisure, which has its headquarters in York, hopes to raise more than £20,000 through cycle rides this year for two chosen charities.

Company directors Gary Molloy and Miles Dewhurst, whose past charity cycle rides have seen them raise more than £40,000 for Help For Heroes, will this year be joined by senior managers James Gourlay and Grant Gidman in tackling their toughest challenge yet.

The Bike & Hike Challenge will involve hiking up Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, and cycling between locations.

The funds raised will be shared between Cash for Kids and Cancer Research UK, charities selected by the 1,700 Park Leisure owners. The four-man team will complete the journey on Friday.
