A GROUP of “Mad Men” from York Golf Club, at Strensall, are planning to play as many holes as possible from dawn to dusk over one day - May 28.

All the golfers, who come from a medical background, have one thing in common – they support York Against Cancer’s 2012 Silver Celebration Appeal.

Professor Steve Leveson, a founder member of the charity in 1987, said: “We are all hoping to play at least four rounds and feel sure that the people of York will come forward to sponsor us in our endeavour.”

Anyone who wants to make a donation should phone York Against Cancer on 01904 764466 or go to justgiving.com/yorksmadmengolfathon
