Volunteers needed for The Eve Appeal

VOLUNTEERS are needed for The Eve Appeal, the gynaecological cancer research charity that is expanding its network of Eve Champions.

These volunteers represent the charity in their local area to raise awareness and build relationships in the community.

Just a couple of hours a month could help the appeal raise awareness of these cancers, raise funds for world-class research projects – and save lives.

Around 50 women in the UK are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer every day, of which 20 will die. Eve champions can help in many ways – including organising bucket collections, distributing posters and leaflets or organising fundraising events.

Robert Marsh, of appeal, said: “We know that earlier diagnosis of gynaecological cancers can help save lives so we need help to reach women at a regional level, with information on risks and symptoms.”
