Tsunami survivor runs up big total for British Red Cross

A TSUNAMI survivor from York has raised more than £2,700 for the British Red Cross.

Despite being injured in her last two weeks of training, Louise Harrand, 39, completed the London Marathon in aid of the charity, which helped her when she was caught up in the disaster in 2004 while on honeymoon in Thailand.

The Red Cross are now searching for volunteers to be part of the charity’s 2013 London Marathon team and to take part in September’s Great North Run.
