COULD you be in the running to help raise cash for York’s St Leonard’s Hospice?
Sue Bonarius, who manages the hospice’s shop in Fourth Avenue, Tang Hall, is already in training to help the York charity raise extra funds by taking part in the Jane Tomlinson York 10K race on Sunday, August 5 – and she is looking for more runners to join her.
Sue was inspired to sign up for the race, along with a friend, after hearing about the special partnership this year between the hospice and Jane Tomlinson’s For All Events.
The hospice has a number of places remaining in Team St Leonard’s, and hopes runners will get in touch to help raise funds for its work of caring for local people and their families. For runners who have already got into their stride with a 10K race in previous years, the hospice has a different challenge – the chance to have a place in the Leeds Half Marathon on Sunday, May 13.
St Leonard’s is again one of the charity partners for the event.
Anyone who would like to run in the Leeds Half-Marathon or the York 10K for St Leonard’s Hospice should phone its fundraising office on 01904 777777.
