Dozens of bakers wanted for Age UK “bake-off”

AS many people as possible are being encouraged to take part in a “bake-off” in aid of Age UK.

People are invited to bake cakes and take them to Age UK’s office in Walmgate by 12pm on February 29 to be judged by expert staff from Bettys.

The cakes will then be sold at a fundraising event at St Crux in Pavement the following day.

For the last 40 years the charity has provided a wide range of services for the older people of York including befriending, internet shopping, support for carers, day activities and support for older people as they leave hospital.
