Castle Gallery in the York Coppergate Centre has donated two of its works to be auctioned for charity at next week's Lord Mayor's Valentine Ball.
The paintings, by Yorkshire artist Bob Barker, will go under the hammer to raise money for the Lord Mayor's chosen charities – York Against Cancer and York and District Mind.
Lord Mayor Coun David Horton said: "I am delighted with the very generous gift of two paintings.
"We have been overwhelmed with a number of donations from local companies, including Castle Galleries, and are very much looking forward to a wonderful evening at the racecourse."
The ball will take place at the Voltigeur Suite at York Racecourse on Saturday, February 11.
Tickets are £55 per person, or £550 for a table of ten, and will include a four-course meal and live music from The Goosehorns, as well as the auction.
