Rock Choir, which claims to the UK’s largest amateur contemporary choir, with about 16,000 members, has raised more than £13,000 to help support the charity Missing People’s search for the 250,000 people who go missing in the UK every year.
Missing people whose details are published on the charity’s website include Claudia Lawrence, who has been missing from York since 2009.
It is just over a year since Rock Choir – featured in ITV1's documentary The Choir That Rock – first arrived in Yorkshire, but already has more than 864 members in the county.
Every year, Rock Choir helps to raise money and awareness for local charities and causes throughout the UK. Anyone wishing to join can book a free taster session at rockchoir.com or phone 01252 714276.
