Eternal Law becomes reality in York on the night of Saturday, June 23, when angels and demons will be around the streets of the city.

They will be taking part in the popular Midnight Walk, organised each year to raise funds for the city’s St Leonard's Hospice.

This year it will be an all-women event for the first time – and the women are all being encouraged to dress with fluffy haloes or flashing horns to get them into the party mood.

The change to a women-only event comes after it was found hospices that had women-only Midnight Walks were able to attract many more entries and raise larger sums.

In another change, the walk will have two routes – a ten-mile route for women who are ready for a challenge, and a gentler five-mile route.

More information is available on the hospice website at stleonardshospice.org.uk or by phoning 01904 77 77 77.
