A POCKLINGTON widower who has dedicated his life to supporting research into a devastating illness which killed his wife is organising a fundraising event next month.
Michael Shepherd, 75, who lost his wife Shirley to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), said there would be coffee, tea, a massive cake stall, soft toys, gifts, books, cards and “loads and loads of fellowship” at the event, which takes place at Pocklington Methodist Church in Chapmangate from 10am to noon on Friday, February 3.
“Everyone involved and interested in this little-known illness is encouraged to be there,” he said.
