Sale brings boost to Save The Children charity


A NORTH Yorkshire branch of Save The Children raised £450 with a two-day sale.

Trading secretary Anne Avery said the Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale branch raises between £4,000 and £5,000 a year, which benefits deprived children worldwide. Its latest events was at the Old Schoolroom, Middleton.

The branch is organising two coffee mornings for the autumn.
