The Parvin restaurant in Haxby raises £1,500 for Haiti earthquake appeal

A CHARITY evening at a Haxby restaurant in aid of the Haiti earthquake appeal has raised £1,500.

Staff at The Parvin donated their wages for the fundraising night last month and proceeds from each meal served went to the disaster fund.

Handing over the cheque, Parvin owner Safiquer Rahman, pictured with members of his staff, said: “Thank you to all the customers who gave money and thank you to all my staff who worked for free on the evening.”
