POPULAR recipes from Yorkshire’s farmhouse kitchens have helped fuel a fundraising feast for the county’s Air Ambulance.
Farm Stay Yorkshire has raised almost £10,000 for the charity from the sale of a unique recipe book – featuring favourite recipes from farmhouse kitchens.
The book, with a foreword by BBC Countryfile presenter Adam Henson was produced to mark the 30th anniversary of Farm Stay UK, the national group of on-farm accommodation providers.
More than 3,500 copies have been sold and the sales have contributed to nearly £10,000 raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA).
A Sparkling Afternoon Tea event will be held next month at Old Holme Farm, High Grantley, near Ripon.
It takes place on May 12 from 2pm to 4pm, with glasses of bubbly available too.
Tickets cost £15 from Lisa Preston on 01535 655228 or email lisa.preston@btconnect.com
