A VET from York is in the final stages of preparation for the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday, in aid of animal charity PDSA.
Tim Stead, 55, is taking on the 26.2 mile challenge and is aiming to raise £3,000.
His practice, ST Stead, is a PDSA Pet Practice which provides the charity’s veterinary services in York.
Tim said: “My training has been going really well and I’m running around 40 miles each week. I’ve run the York Marathon before, but this will be the first time I’ve run in London and I’m looking forward to it.”
He added: “PDSA’s help means people on low incomes can still get the veterinary care that their pets need and deserve.”
