A FOOTBALL-MAD youngster has raised more than £100 for his club by helping his dad raffle a gallon of beer at a York pub.
Wendi Hyde, from The Ainsty in Boroughbridge Road, said her son Ethan Hyde played for All Stars Football Academy, run by ex -York City player Christian Fox.
"Christian started All Stars six months ago and coaches 150 kids from 6 to 16 years of age," she said.
"They are raising funds for vital equipment needed for the summer camps they run.
"Ethan and his dad went round the pub on a busy Sunday and sold raffle tickets and managed to raise £110 for The All Stars.
"This is not the first time Ethan has raised money for his football club, as within the last few months we have raised a few hundred pounds for Poppleton Juniors Football Club.
"This boy is clearly following in his mothers' footsteps and raising money when ever he can for local community projects!"
