THE Lord Mayor of York, Cllr Ian Gillies, launched a corporate go-kart day to raise money for the Lord Mayor’s Fund.
Teams from city businesses competed throughout the day yesterday at the go-karting track at Monks Cross.
Cllr Gillies said: “I am extremely grateful to York Sports Village for organising the event, HSBC for sponsorship, and the 24 local companies including solicitors, accountants, bankers, developers, consultants, retail businesses and others who have entered the challenge."
