VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help a charity street collection for Brain Tumour Research and Support Across Yorkshire (BTRS).

The collection is being held in York city centre on March 13 to help raise funds to continue dedicated research into brain tumour cures and to be able to provide the best patient and family support network possible.

Sorrell Coulson, BTRS events and fundraising manager, said: “Street collections are a great way for the charity to raise funds as well as raising the charity’s profile at the same time. It would be great to get some more volunteers on board to be a part of the whole fundraising experience.

Volunteering for us is a great chance to meet a new network of people and gain some extra experience for your CV. It’s also a great feeling knowing that the money raised is helping to support those affected by a brain tumour whilst also funding research to find a cure.”
