A CHARITY fashion show is being held at The Guildhall in aid of York Against Cancer and York Teaching Hospital Charity.

The Lord Mayor of York Cllr Ian Gillies is hosting the event on Thursday, March 5 at 7.30pm. It has been organised in partnership with Fenwicks and Browns Department Stores to showcase their Spring/Summer 2015 collections.

Tickets for the show will cost £10 each and include a glass of fizz on arrival and a goodie bag courtesy of Fenwicks and Browns, which will also include vouchers to use in stores.

BBC Radio York presenter Elly Fiorentini will compère the catwalk show. There will also be the chance to browse fashion accessories on stalls held by local retailers and to undergo make-up and beauty treatments.

Maya Richardson, community fundraiser for York Teaching Hospital Charity, said: “We are really grateful to Fenwicks and Browns for choosing to support the Lord Mayor of York’s Charities and for helping us to arrange this un-missable event. It’s a great date for the social calendar of any fashion-savvy ladies and gents.”

Tickets for the event are available from the Fundraising Office at York Hospital, the YAC shop in Huntington, by calling 01904 724521 or by emailing charity.fundraising@york.nhs.uk.
