CELEBRITIES have teamed up with patients and families for an online film to raise awareness of congenital heart surgery in Yorkshire.

Local celebrities and well-known Yorkshire faces are lending their support to the short film promoting Wear Red Day on February 6 which aims to raise money for the Yorkshire Heart Unit at the Leeds General Infirmary, where patients from York and North Yorkshire are treated.

The film, to be unveiled on YouTube on January 5, will feature actor Dominic Brunt, who plays Paddy Kirk in Emmerdale, along with a number of players from the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team, all of whom will be dressed in red to show their support for the day.
