A DEDICATED fundraiser has enjoyed an audience with the Lord Mayor in recognition of her tireless years of charity work.
The unique event was arranged for Joan Sadler for her selfless role in a number of wide ranging health charities, including multiple sclerosis.
During her visit to Mansion House with Lord Mayor Cllr Ian Gillies, she was presented with a specially arranged recording of her favourite Ivor Novello song performed by York soprano, Eleanor Audet.
Friend Phillip Mindenhall said: "York born Joan is a highly regarded and much respected lady who is also known in many areas of the city's cultural life.
"Local theatre groups and the performing arts are a major focus for Joan and there wont be many performances that haven't been experienced by Joan in the audience."
