STUDENTS at Selby College have boosted their charity fundraising with a coffee morning.
Staff and students in the college's hospitality and catering department worked hard to raise £15,000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research through sales of their very own Yorkshire recipe book All the Best from Yorkshire, in memory of student Scott Robinson, who lost his battle with testicular cancer, when he was just 18, in 2010.
Sales of the book, which is made up of Yorkshire recipes contributed by top chefs from the county, continued at the college’s charity coffee morning where guests included Selby MP Nigel Adams, and a grand total of £156.50 was raised.
