AN epic athletic effort which will seen two men run more than 700 kilometres in about a week more than seven days for charity is due to come to York.

Joe Williams and Jeff Weigh will be running seven “ultra marathons” in seven days, in aid of Epilepsy Research UK and the Dame Kelly Homes Trust, and are calling on people to run a 10k stage with them.

They aim to raise £35,000 for their two chosen charities: On Monday, September 8, they will run a 10k circular route in York, beginning at postcode YO23 1HD, and starting the run at about 7.30am.

They are asking keen runners to join them.

Joe is running for Epilepsy Research UK because his son, Harry, has a rare and devastating type of epilepsy called West Syndrome.

Jeff is raising funds for the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, whose mission is to get young lives back on track by using world-class athletes to help mentor them.
