SPECSAVERS in Acomb are planning to raise vital funds for its charity partner, York Blind and Partially Sighted Society, with a vintage inspired fundraiser on Thursday.

Customers will be able to enjoy tea and cakes at the shop on Front Street while staff collect donations for the local charity and the store will be decorated with bunting, pictures and postcards to give a chic, vintage theme to the day.

Store director Stephen McEnaney said: “York Blind and Partially Sighted Society provides a much-needed service to the local community and we are thrilled to be supporting the charity in order to make a difference in the community. I urge customers and residents of York to come into the store on August 20 and help us raise the vital funds this charity deserves.”
