BOOTS in York's Coney Street has marked the re-opening of its optician's department with a day of charitable fundraising.
The department, which has undergone a major refurbishment, hosted a raffle and tombola, and gave away food and drink on Monday to raise funds for Action for Blind People. The Sheriff of York, John Kenny, and the Sheriff's Lady, Jill Kenny, cut a ribbon to mark the reopening.
