CYCLISTS are being urged to sign up for a ride to raise funds for a children’s charity.
The York 100 gives people the chance to cycle either 40, 67 or 102 miles for Action Medical Research on August 17. Routes set off from the University of York’s Sports Centre in Heslington, and pass through the Vale of York and the Yorkshire Wolds.
Two of the longer routes return via the Howardian Hills and the Castle Howard estate. This event is part of the charity’s RIDE100 series of one-day bike rides that take place in fantastic cycling locations across the UK.
For information about the York 100 and to register (taking advantage of the current 20 per cent discount off entry fees), visit action.org.uk/york_100
