Lunch in aid of York Against Cancer
A LUNCH and raffle in aid of York Against Cancer will be held on July 21, at Barleyfields in Shipton Road, a sheltered housing scheme run by Anchor Retirement Housing Association.
The event starts at 11.30am with the Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Ian Gillies, set to attend from noon to 1pm. Julie Russell, general manager of York Against Cancer and Harry the fundraising bear, are expected to attend.
Raffle prizes donated include a football signed by York City players and manager but organisers are appealing for more.
