Motorcyclists converged on a garden centre on the outskirts of York to show off their pride and joy and raise money for charity.

Many also took to the roads in an organised ride led by Kilham Bikers who have 19 years' experience of organising and riding roads.

The evening for motorised two-wheelers was the seventh annual bikers charity night organised by Dean's Garden Centre of Stockton-on-the-Forest, which hosted it.

The centre's neighbour, Craven's Collection, joined in by opening the doors on its museum of more than 250 vintage and classic motorbikes. Attenders put their own bike on show in a competition to find the best bike with trophies for the best classic and modern bike.

The event was organised in aid of York Blind & Partially Sighted Society and the Multiple Sclerosis Society and hoped to top last year's total of more than £2,200.
