COMPETITORS are gearing up for the 12th annual Beadlam charity tractor run.

Raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, competitors driving both vintage and classic tractors will cover about 50 miles, starting and ending at Beadlam Grange Farm Shop.

Mark Rooke, of the Beadlam Grange Farm shop, said they are thrilled to support the run and raise money for such a fantastic cause.

Last year £7,213 was raised after a record number of 216 tractors took part. The current total for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance raised by the yearly tractor run, stands at a staggering at amount of more than £60,000.

Meeting at the farm shop at 9.45am on Sunday, May 4, the tractors will pass through various villages, including Nawton, Kirkbymoorside, Cropton, Welburn and Harome, finishing back at the shop at about 5.10pm. For details, phone Malcolm and Sally Simpson on 01751 432645.
