Thirteen cyclists completed the Way of the Roses cycle route to raise money for the Young Epilepsy charity.
As well as turning 40 over the weekend, the organiser of the event, Al Birch from Holgate Road, successfully completed the coast to coast route for his daughter, who has epilepsy.
The team cycled 110 miles on Friday, setting off from the seaside resort of Morecambe and then travelling over the Pennines and ending up at York Minister.
They then completed the 170-mile journey by cycling to Bridlington, covering 60 miles on Saturday.
Reuben Barratt who took part said: “Coming out of Settle there were some particularly steep hills but other than a snapped chain, everything went well”.
So far the team have raised £1,400 but are still taking donations and looking to raise a total of £5,000.
