A YORK ice-cream maker is supporting a charity ball for the third time by creating its own special dessert.
Acaster Malbis-based Yorvale is support the Sunflower Ball, which is a key date on the fundraising calendar for the St. Leonard’s Hospice.
Former Sunflower Ball committee member Lesley Buxton, who is director at Yorvale, said: “The Sunflower Ball contributes such a significant amount to this total and this year the committee is hoping to raise more than £50,000.
“We are proud to be able to support the event by creating 550 Mid Summer’s Delight desserts that feature creamy white chocolate ice cream on a chocolate base and finished with a juicy raspberry coulis.”
The Sunflower Ball takes place on May 10 at York Racecourse.
Tickets cost £85 per person.
