Fundraising date to aid Philippines
A FUNDRAISING coffee morning is to be held at Heslington Village Meeting Room on Friday to help aid efforts to the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan.
Coffee and biscuits and a raffle will be available from 10am to 2pm. Admission is free.
Meanwhile, a party from the Defence School of Transport in Leconfield, East Yorkshire, which was on a diving expedition in the Philippines when it was caught up in the typhoon is now helping locals in the devastated region.
