PETER Lawrence, the father of missing York woman Claudia, has organised a charity carol service to raise awareness of Yorkshire’s missing people.
Mr Lawrence joined local volunteers in Coney Street yesterday to invite York shoppers to the service, which will be at 7pm on December 12 at St Chad’s church, Knavesmire.
Mr Lawrence is working with the charity Missing People to highlight disappearances like that of his daughter, who has not been seen since 2009.
The service will be attended by the families of missing people and follows a similar one last year which Mr Lawrence also organised, and has inspired similar events in Cardiff and Manchester.
