Women take part in Twilight run for Cancer Research
2:25pm Tuesday 29th October 2013 in Fundraising fun
HUNDREDS of women donned fancy dress and sported glow-sticks to take part in this year’s Twilight run for Cancer Research.
The Cancer Research Twilight runners wore their shiniest accessories and raised money for Cancer Research.
It’s the first time the 5K Twilight run has come to York and there was also a spooky-themed dress code to celebrate Hallowe’en.
Rachel Speight-McGregor, area fundraising manager for Cancer Research UK, led the warm-up for the run in her self-confessed “mad, Yorkshire-style way”. The Zumba teacher wore the same Piglet costume which she wore for last year’s Race for Life warmup.
