NEARLY 300 motorcyclists and their machines turned out and more than £2,000 was raised at the sixth annual bikers charity night at Dean’s Garden Centre.
The event at the Dean’s outlet in Stockton-on-the-Forest was attended by more than 280 bikers and other people who arrived in cars.
They included 70 riders who set off from Dean’s Garden Centre at Scarborough as part of an organised ride by Kilham Wednesday Night Bikers. A total of £2,213 has been raised so far for Dean’s charities of the year, York Against Cancer and Yorkshire Cancer Research.
There were about 40 classic bikes there, with a Norton winning the trophy for the best on display. The best modern bike was a Triumph Speed Triple. The organisers thanked everyone who helped on the night.
