GREGGS in York are encouraging staff to wear “onsies” to raise cash for charity.
The idea is part of a fundraising drive to raise money for local charities.
A range of activities are planned including holding super round-up days where customers are encouraged to round up their loose change to the nearest 10p.
The drive is organised by the Greggs Foundation, set up in 1987 by Ian Gregg to put something back into local communities.
Jackie Crombie, Greggs Foundation manager, said: “Our annual fundraising appeal has become a permanent fixture in the calendar, with our shop colleagues striving to do their bit to raise money to support local community causes. Last year, we raised £102,988.”
