SHOPPERS at a York department store were left all shook up when two Elvis impersonators lined up to serenade them during a charity fundraising event.

“Yorkshire Elvis” Eddie Vee, from York, was joined by Dean Holland – who was voted the best Elvis Presley soundalike of 2012 – at the Debenhams store in Davygate to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The event was organised by the store’s staff, following a similar performance last year.

Members of the society set up a stall and shoppers who bought special tickets for the night obtained discounts and goodie bags.

About £500 was raised on the night, with more money still coming in.

The twin Elvises succeeded in getting through about 30 songs by The King during the evening.
