THEY’LL be under starter’s orders when a charity race night is held for a York Hospital charity appeal.
The event will be held at the Post Office Club in Marygate, York, to raise cash for the Star Appeal, to upgrade the stroke ward at the hospital.
The evening starts at 7pm with the first race at 8pm. There will be eight races throughout the evening, with cash prizes, plus a raffle.
The York Teaching Hospital Charity is looking for eight local organisations to sponsor each of the eight races for £20 each. The race will then be named after the organisation on the evening.
Tickets cost £2, which include entry into a free prize draw, and can be bought by phoning Lucy Lowthian on 01904 721737 or emailing lucy.lowthian@york.nhs.uk
Also contact Lucy to sponsor a race. Tickets can also be bought in the new Volunteering and Fundraising Office at York Hospital.
