HELP a child victim of domestic abuse this Christmas – that is the plea from a York landlady who is urging local residents to donate a gift for the needy this festive season.
Wendy Hyde, landlady of the Ainsty pub in Acomb, is urging all customers and local residents in York to donate one unwrapped present that will go towards youngsters living in a refuge this Christmas.
Wendy has launched the Ainsty Christmas Gift Campaign – with all gifts to be donated to York-based charity Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) on December 20.
Anyone who would like to donate a gift should visit the pub.
All gifts should be unwrapped. Toys, games, food products and other presents suitable for those aged 17 and under are all welcome.
