PEOPLE with learning difficulties are enjoying regular pub nights in York to help them socialise and make new friends thanks to a charity.
United Response’s Krumbs Café in York has partnered up with icango2, a local training academy, to organise the monthly events.
The next City Slickers night out is at Yates near Ouse Bridge on Monday, at 7pm. “The event promises to be an exciting opportunity to socialise and make new friends and guests even get the first drink free!” said a charity spokeswoman.
“Previous events have been a huge success and this month’s is set to be even better.”The nights out are funded through United Response’s Small Sparks grants programme, which aims to help people with learning disabilities build relationships with the wider community, by providing money for people to host events.
