FIVE York College students have received offers to study at either Oxford or Cambridge University this year.
York College is in the top three general further education colleges in the country for A-Levels and is the region’s largest A-Level provider.
Five of its students have received conditional Oxbridge places for the top flight universities: Will Osborne (formerly of Millthorpe School) to study earth sciences at Exeter College, Oxford; Jack Hughes (formerly of Millthorpe School) to study history and modern languages at Magdalene College, Cambridge; Ed Coidan (formerly St Peter’s School) to study classics at Somerville College, Oxford; Lucy Ross (formerly of Joseph Rowntree School) to study human, social and political sciences at Newnham College, Cambridge; and Georgie Bryan (formerly of Joseph Rowntree School) to study philosophy at Queens’ College, Cambridge.
