Selby College hold annual fashion show

York Press: Selby College fashion show at Selby Abbey Selby College fashion show at Selby Abbey

THE annual Selby College Fashion show saw models wearing designs inspired by Light Movement, Metal Wear, Nature and Revolution.

The show was held at Selby Abbey, and allowed first and second year students to showcase their work, including Nicole Hogan, whose collection explored the power of circles through colour and screen prints.

Kiku Jackson, fashion lecturer, said: "The Fashion Show provides an amazing opportunity for students. It’s the culmination of years of hard work but it was all worthwhile with everyone really enjoying themselves on the night.

"I am so proud of the Fashion students but also those representing the Art and Design, Hairdressing and Beauty, Music and Performing Arts departments who have all worked equally hard to make this Fashion Show, a key part of the college’s 30th anniversary celebrations, such a special event."

College lecturer and pianist Oxy Wilson performed to guests at the event in June, along with student Indie band, The City, and the event also raised almost £250 for Martin House Hospice.
