Newsquest (York) Ltd produce four newspaper titles. The Press, a paid for daily title, the Gazette & Herald, a paid for weekly title and the York and Selby Star, which are both free distributed titles.

The two main differences in advertising are display and classified. Display advertising mainly appears at the front section of the paper in boxes, while classified appears at the back in the form of lineage or boxes. Examples below;
