Businesswomen shortlisted for awards

A MILLINER from Tadcaster has been shortlisted for three awards at the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards.
Liz Devine-Wright has been shortlisted for Retail Businesswoman of the Year and Home-based Businesswoman of the Year for Simply Devine, a hat shop in Tadcaster, which has expanded into an online shop selling hats, fascinators and accessories globally.
Lucy Scott Paul, who set up Masham sweetshop Bah Humbugs is also shortlisted for this award.
Liz has also been shortlisted for Property Businesswoman of the Year for her rental portfolio Liz Wright Properties, in which she competes against Lucy Noonan of York, who works to promote the needs of members in the National Federation of Builders.
Emily Williamson, business development manager at the Hotel du Vin in York, who is also shortlisted for the Women in Enterprise award at The Press Business Awards 2012, has been shortlisted for Young Businesswoman of the Year.
Deborah Robinson of Starjack Entertainment in Harrogate has been shortlisted for International Businesswoman of the Year, Jacqui Hall of Harrogate-based independent gas supplier CNG has been shortlisted for Corporate Businesswoman of the Year, and Claire Maguire of health retreat Split Farthing Hall near Thirsk has been shortlisted for Start up Businesswoman of the Year.
The ceremony will take place at the Queens Hotel in Leeds on November 16.
