SIRIUS Minerals, the company behind plans to build a potash mine in the North York Moors, has appointed Luke Jarvis as commercial director.
Mr Jarvis, formerly managing director at producer, marketer and distributor of crop nutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphate and potash, Agrium, for almost five years, will be based at the York Potash offices in Scarborough.
He has specialised in the fertiliser business for almost 20 years having also been UK and Ireland managing director at Helm Fertiliser for seven years and working in commercial roles at Cleveland Potash Limited, the UK's only operating potash mine for eight years.
He will be responsible for commercial aspects, initially sales, marketing and distribution for the York Potash Project.
