John Moore appointed as NYnet chief executive

NORTH Yorkshire broadband organisation NYnet has appointed John Moore as its new chief executive with immediate effect.

Mr Moore, who was formerly corporate director of finance and central services at North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC), will lead NYnet as the organisation seeks to deliver the next phase of the county’s superfast broadband roll out.

John Watson, chairman of NYnet, said: “We are very pleased about the appointment of John as our new chief executive.

“It is an exciting time for NYnet as we oversee the Superfast North Yorkshire Broadband Programme on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council. The future of NYnet itself looks bright as it undergoes a technology ‘refresh’ to make the most out of the latest products and services available on the market.”
