Bob and Liz Unsworth
A VILLAGE shop in York is celebrating after winning a regional award for excellence.
Huntington Village Stores, in North Moor Road, scooped the best village store award at the Yorkshire Independent Grocers Association Shop Awards 2009.
Liz Unsworth, who owns the shop and runs it with her husband Bob, said that, when judges were deciding who would be given the prize, they looked at such things as customer service, store cleanliness and the stock that was on offer.
The shop employs seven people.
