A YORK building site has been named among the best run in Britain as its site manager wins anational award.
Site managers working for housebuilder Barratt Developments, which includes both the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, have scooped four awards in The Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
Included in the win is the site project manager at David Wilson Homes’ The Chocolate Works development in York, Martyn Thorley, who gained official a Pride in the Job Award for the excellent standards on the site.
This is the fifth time Mr Thorley, pictured, who has worked at Barratt Developments for three years, has won a Pride in the Job Award, having secured the accolade four times before
Other sites in the region awarded were Tranby Fields in Hull, Belle Vue in Doncaster, and The Pastures in Knaresborough
The awards are designed to recognise Site Managers who achieve the highest standard in housebuilding.
