AWARD success is being celebrated by a York company after receiving recognition for its food intolerance testing devices.

YorkTest, based at York Science Park, picked up a national award, when it was named Food Intolerance Testing Company of The Year in the UK Enterprise Awards.

The business, which also won the award for Excellence in Dietary Research & Solutions 2018 in the same competition, is now hoping for further accolades after being announced as a finalist in the Best Health & Wellbeing and Best Customer Centric Culture (Strategy/Project) categories in the UK Customer Experience Awards.

YorkTest was established in 1982 in York and specialises in food-specific IgG antibody intolerance testing.

Rachel Jansen, chief executive at the company said: “We’re delighted that we have been named Food Intolerance Testing Company of the Year.

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and our staff drives us forward and works hard to ensure our clients get the best, high-quality service possible.

“I’d like to thank every member of my team. This award is for everyone at YorkTest.

“We thrive on teamwork, innovation and being customer-centric and this award shows the hard work that everyone puts in. I’m thrilled that we have been recognised for that.”

The UK Customer Experience Awards take the form of two-stage process with an application and a presentation. Having been shortlisted after submitting applications, YorkTest will now start its presentations ready for the awards finals, which are being held on October 11 at Wembley Stadium, when the winner will be announced.

Ms Jansen added: “We’re also extremely pleased to have been nominated for not one but two awards in the UK Customer Experience Awards.

“These awards only strengthen our position as the UK’s leading provider of food intolerance testing.”

YorkTest boasts a 50 per cent share of the UK food intolerance testing market and now trades in 49 territories.
