THE York company behind a globally used tracking app has partnered with a Russian security firm to bolster its services at the FIFA World Cup this summer.

Vismo Global Tracking Solutions, based at Clifton Park, works with companies and organisations through its Vismo App, which offers a tracking solution designed to locate individuals anywhere in the world.

The Vismo App was used successfully to monitor teams, coaching staff, media organisations and corporate VIPs at events such as the London 2012 Olympics and at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, and helps companies and organisations in high risk areas of the world.

Now, ahead of the FIFA World Cup this summer, Vismo, which has an office in Russia, has signed a collaboration agreement with Moscow-based Elite Security in a bid to enhance response times to any client request for help.

Colin Dale, business development for Vismo said: “We have partnered with Elite Security because of the potential difficulties of rapid response in Russia, where games will be spread over a very large geographic area.

“Our collaboration addresses that issue by enabling the fastest possible response to users of the Vismo App – national and global media companies covering the matches, corporate event sponsors, VIP attendees, football team members and fans - should they find themselves in a situation of duress.

“Elite Security has one of the broadest and deepest coverage of any security company in Russia and can therefore deploy its support services, including its Elite Security Emergency Response Service, at short notice in practically any area of this massive geographic region. That’s a great help to Vismo.”
