YORK accountancy firm Garbutt + Elliott has been appointed by a North Yorkshire gourmet sausage brand to support product range expansion.
Family-run Heck Foods, based between Thirsk and Bedale, has appointed the firm as it looks to expand its vegetarian and vegan range.
Founded five years ago by Debbie and Andrew Keeble, Heck now has a turnover of £17.m and employs 106 people. Its products are stocked in supermarkets Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose, as well as sold from its own online store.
Garbutt + Elliott will provide financial advice to help the company further expand. Its ambitions follow a new £3.5 million production facility in 2017, which created 75 jobs and produces more than 700 sausages per minute.
